In 1926, the .410-bore was added to the Lefever Nitro Special offerings. The Model 2 single barrel and the Model 3 SBT were added to the Lefever line in 1927, and the Model 4 double barrel vent rib trap gun in 1929. Also in 1929, the family formed another corporation, Western Arms Corp., to build an even lower priced double the Long Range Double.The second is a Nitro Special single barrel 12 ga....I think, but the shell feels a little sloppy in the chamber, which is the reason I have never tried to fire it. It says Choke bored, Pat. Applied for. Fall Arms Co. Chicopee Falls, Mass., and it is stamped behind the trigger guard LK357. I just updated the ser# for the model 12.I know that Lefever was bought by Ithaca Arms Co. in 1922 in Syracuse and made these guns from 1922 to 1947. Any other information would be appreciated.
